This is characteristic educational system of NUFS and called PUT. Now, I will talk about Outline of PUT. At first there are main features. [Three students to one tutor] This situation will remove a pressure and fear of speaking English. [Tutors from various nations] We can hear various English in this class, so it’s a good chance to get used to several English. [Speak only English] In the PUT class, English is only the way to express them your opinion.
Next, these are Goals. [Learn conversation skills and strategies] [Improve reading aloud and pronunciation skills] [Practice expressing opinions] This class is one of a few opportunities to speak English with foreigner, so we have to value the chance.
Lastly, I introduce Advanced-PUT. This is next stage for British and American, French, China and Japanese Department. A-PUT is specialized in presentation skill. In second grade, English and Contemporary Society and Global Business Department attend the OCS instead of A-PUT.
